the scythe is a combination of a few things... pink insulation foam shaped the head, then was covered with spackle and sanded smooth. there's also a couple wooden dowels in the crosspiece for stability.
the Chakrams were made entirely by Axel and Roxas, using bondo-glass (which is used for body repairs in cars) and a few techniques they learned in college ^.^

any idea if the both of them can talk me through the process of making the chakrams?
Reply
:iconafterlifeusec:
prolly not, unfortunately, as they're both in college and still working, so time is tight.

yeah, I know that all too well college does take over your life but if they ever have time I would feel greatful if they would talk to me. Keep up cosplaying! Y'all should come to AD in MN or Acen! Would love to see you there

...crap. You guys are one to my "borrowing strategy"... o.o

*slinks nonchalantly out of room clutching a SUSPICIOUSLY FAMILIAR pair of chakrams...*

:iconafterlifeusec:
hehehe if you can carry them... they're notoriously heavy XP

Hmm...after usually pulling thirty something pounds on a recurve bow? Yeah, I think I can handle it. X3 They've got to be way lighter than that scythe, in any case...or at least not quite as top heavy. *it is immediately obvious that she has been overdosing on the "Deadliest Warrior" TV series again*
